ParkourChase is an independent guide to parkour technique, training, gear and lifestyle, written for beginners and intermediate traceurs. The site is run by ParkourChase Editorial and edited by Harera M. Every guide is researched thoroughly and reviewed by the editor before it is published.
What We Cover
- Technique Guides: step-by-step guides to vaults, rolls, landings, precisions and other movements.
- Training: conditioning, mobility, recovery and injury prevention.
- Gear: what to wear and buy, and what you can skip.
- Lifestyle: the culture, history and wider questions around parkour.
How Our Guides Are Researched
We build our guides on primary sources rather than opinion:
- peer-reviewed sports science and injury research;
- guidance from parkour coaching bodies and federations, such as Parkour UK and the parkour programmes of the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG);
- established parkour coaching schools and their published tutorials;
- manufacturers’ own specifications for gear.
The sources for each guide are linked inside the article, so you can check them yourself.
How Every Guide Is Reviewed
Nothing is published without editorial review. Before a guide goes live, the editor checks that:
- the facts match the cited sources;
- progressions are safe, and risky moves are clearly flagged;
- claims that can’t be verified are removed;
- the guide answers the question the reader actually has.
What We Are Not
We are not coaches, physiotherapists or doctors, and our guides are not a substitute for qualified coaching or medical advice. Train within your level, progress gradually, and see a professional if you are injured.
Updates and Corrections
We revisit our guides as new research and coaching guidance appear. If you spot an error, please tell us through our contact page or by email at info@parkourchase.com, and we will check it and correct the guide.
How We Earn
ParkourChase is free to read. Some articles contain affiliate links, and we may earn a small commission if you buy through them, at no extra cost to you. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. Affiliate links are always disclosed at the top of the article, and commissions never decide our advice.
Images
We aim to show the actual technique or gear being discussed. Where no accurate photo exists, we draw our own diagrams. Third-party photos come from free sources such as Pexels, Unsplash and Wikimedia Commons and are used under their free licences.
